Who are we?
The CAIC-ACCI is the National voice for the advancement of Interventional Cardiology throughout Canada and Internationally. Its activities include (but are not limited to) specialty training, membership communication, promotion/dissemination of research, delivery of Accredited Educational programs and the evaluation of technology.
Vision
To be the reference for the development and delivery of Interventional Cardiovascular care in Canada and beyond
Mission
To promote excellence in cardiovascular care and Intervention through leadership in education, promotion of best practices and advocacy for our patients
Membership
CAIC-ACCI membership is open to all CCS members who practice or those who hold an interest in Interventional Cardiology (Annual CAIC-ACCI dues are required). Trainees in Cardiology and Fellows in interventional cardiology may apply for an Affiliate-in-Training membership (free of charge) with a letter from their program director. Executive Committee
Consists of a President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Past-President, Regional members-at-large and an Interventional Fellows’ representative. Officers serve for a period of two years and terms are staggered. The President may extend for a second term and is expected to remain with the Committee for at least one term as past-President. Regional representation is divided into the East (Nfld., PEI., NB., NS.), Quebec, Ontario, Prairies (Man., Sask., Alta) and British Columbia.
